Chongqing Waste
Not long ago in Chongquing, China, a city of 32 million people, raw sewage from homes and factories spilled into rivers. Garbage was tossed on open dumps. Now, as part of a World Bank program, the majority of Chongquing's sewage is treated at two new facilities and the people of Chongquing have access to safe drinking water.
