Ukraine and Burma Projects
Medical Mercy Canada (MMC) is an organization devoted to helping people in the Ukraine and on the Burmese borders, through a Canadian volunteer program led by Dr. Myron and Elaine Semkuley. Through this organization, medical assistance, financial assistance as well as hygiene projects are made possible. MMC has been providing help, regardless of the circumstances and will continue to implement their vision of sharing and extending love and care to those who need it.
MMC had a clear mission which was to make the quality of life rise by being able to provide supplies, opportunities for education and services that are utilized in medical facilities and schools in these impoverish areas. Important beliefs that are shared by the organization as well as those who donate, is the acceptance of human diversity, the volunteers' ability to help, as well as the neutral stance it takes on political and denominational differences. Cost effectiveness is also a shared interest between the donators and the organization.
The main goal MMC is trying to achieve is to create awareness of the circumstances Burmese refugees and Ukrainian villagers are having to deal with and are hoping to make a difference with their on-site support.
